FA Cup Third Round

The new Nike football colour way hits the field this weekend as all remaining teams battle it out in the FA Cup knock out stages. Nike have an exciting year ahead in 2013 and with the new Mercurial Vapor due to lauch anytime soon, it was great to see the new range on field this weekend. The games followed a few upsets as Newcastle were beaten by lower division Brighton, Aston Villa got so close to knocking united out of the cup and a questionable goal from Liverpool’s Suarez.

West Ham United V Manchester United

Tom Cleverly got Manchester United off to a great start at Aston Villa wearing the new Orange / Black CTR360 football boots, David Beckham & his family watched on as Villa look set to knock United out, until v. Persie  came on as a late substitution to control a fine pass from Ryan Giggs to equalize in the final minutes of injury time.

Mansfield V Liverpool

Daniel Sturridge opened up the scoreline for Liverpool on his debut after signing earlier this week. also a questionable goal from Luis Suarez the sealed the win for Liverpool.

Brighton V Newcastle

Brighton stood their ground against premier league side Newcastle, who have not won a game away from home all season. Are they missing Ba already? questions need to answered for the Newcastle camp.

One of the highest scoring fixtures of the weekend saw Demba Ba score 2 goals on his Chelsea debut.

Manchester City V Watford

Mario Balotelli was the on the mind of everyone after the bust up with manager Mancini during midweek training, however they both seem to laugh and joke whilst waiting on the sideline ready for the subtitution. Barry continues to fire on all cylinders as he’s scoring in both League and Cup. Tevez added to the scoresheet along with late substitue Lopes. Concerns grow for Kun Aguero as he has confirmed a pulled ham string and is currently in Itlay having treatment.
