Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 Review is here!

last night we attended the opening viewing of the new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 movie and this is our response.

We heard a lot of slating on other Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 Review, saying its to much like star trek, too space age….. really? Did you not see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 Trailer?

Did these people not see the first or understand about Guardians of the Galaxy?

Clue, its in the title. In the words of Rocket Raccoon ‘Ya’know, they told me you people were conceded douchebags’

Anyway, back to the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 Review from a Marvel fan.

The movie stars off with a throwback of a young couple falling in love, this being Ego and Meredith Quill, Peter’s Mum and Dad.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 Review StarLord

This skips to the present day we the team are suit up ready to stop an alien squid stealing the power charges.

Starlord / Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon and Baby Groot get the show started, the comedy from the outset is awesome.

Ayesha, thanks the guardians and offers a reward but they exchange it for the freedom of Gamora’s sister, Nebula. See Guardians of the galaxy vol 2 Villain

Nebula still filled with rage and revenge manages to turn and corner later in the movie.

As the team leave the planet, Rocket filled his pocket with Charges to sell without Peter knowing, this leads to an attack from the Sovereign.

They escape with the help of an unknown ship and crash landed on the nearest planet. This ships turns out to be Starlord’s father Ego.

They reunited and Peter is invited to Ego, the living planet to be shown the powers he has deep inside. As Ego is a kind of god.

Ego’s pet Mantis, has the ability to read thoughts and when she touches Peter, she tells everyone his love for Gamora.

Rocket, Nebula and Baby groot stay behind to fix the ship, however unknown to them Yondu and his crew are looking for them.

Yondu is kicked out of his team for going soft and is locked up with Raccoon and Baby Groot.

Nebula escapes and heads for Ego to get one over on her sister, Gamora. Meanwhile on Ego…..

Ego explains the history behind the planet and his love for his mum before unlocking his powers within and becoming part god too.

Peter final feels at home and express his feeling from Gamora in a romantic Dance at sunset, she will not admit her feeling to Peter though.

Mantis and Drax (who is the comdian of the film) bond and she explains the evil side to Ego..

Spoiler alert

Egos evil plans was to recreate an off spring that would help him power seeds hes planted all over the universe and his love for Peters mother is short life as hes the one that gave her cancer.

Yondu and Rocket arrive at Ego to help and he explains why he never delivered Starlord to his father all them years ago.

He loved him like a son.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 Review - Yondu Rocket

The final section of the film see the team destroy Ego, Peter loses his powers and a loved member dies (not spoiling that one)

We are still yet to see Peter and Gamora kiss, however they are really close together at the end.
